The new Children's centre at Underhill, Barnet, North london. Site preparations. In the these two images you can see the the foundation blocks have been set in to the ground - The stainless steel tube supports are just visible above above the ground. 1st image shows postion of gate. The bench is free standing and will be placed in line with the gate. The 2nd image shows the row of base blocks for the sculptural elements (in back ground behind yellow door). Next comes the wet pour safety rubberised surface. This will bring the level up to the top of the edge banding. After that, then off to site for the installation of the bench, gate and sculptural components will take place.
Here are also a couple of images of the completed gate with stainless steel swing latch. The swing latch mecahnism runs inside a greased bearing inner sleeved stainless steel assembly, so it is particulary smooth with its counter weighted operation. Also image showing the creation of one of the sculptural elements that you can see in the background of the completed gate images.
