...So what is a space frame? The easy answer is of course, a frame containing spaces, and that is exactly what you can see in thses images.
This is part of the back rest section for a new seating project for Hancocks Jewellers - Burlington arcade, London. It is the skeleton space frame before the upholstery is created.
You can perhaps get a feel for the complex compound flowing curvatures.
In the design drawing you can see where the upholstered back rest fits into the bigger picture.
More as this project developes.
In the mean time the cherry table is pretty much complete - another open space frame!
Glass grippers to be applied & feet to be adjusted. Delivery end of March, more images of the fully funtional table with acid etch (frosted) glass top in situ to follow.

NPC-BS (Newnham bus Stop bench) is also now complete. Installation for April 8th.
End bolt fixings will ne capped during install.
We've also been busy casting more concrete foundation blocks for 2 of the the next exterior sculptural projects.
